Almost all nationalities need a visa to travel to Egypt. The Consular Section at the Embassy handles all visa applications.
The Embassy strongly advices against any confirmed bookings before the Embassy grants the visa. Please contact the Embassy if you are unsure what visa regulations apply to your citizenship.

Nationalities requiring pre-approval from Cairo prior to the Consular section granting a visa are as follows (more information here):
THE MIDDLE EAST:
Bosnia – (of Egyptian Origin)
Moldova – (Female ages 15 to 35 years old)
Peoples Republic of China (students and citizens with employments contract approval from embassy)

- A filled out visa application
- Copy of the passport (valid for at least 6 months from the date of the return trip from Egypt)
- 2 photos in color and with a white background
- Payment (in cash)
- A recommended return envelope (if the application is sent in by post)
